The following is a list of notable background characters who have appeared in Grojband. These are characters who frequently appear in the background of episodes, but never have an integral role to the plot. Many of these characters are unnamed unless provided by the series creators.

- Emma - A background character who appeared frequently in the show. Received a fump from Nick Mallory in Kon-Fusion.

- Ringo - A frequent background character with a speaking role in Inn Err Face, with his invention used by the band.

- Claire Root - A frequent background character who had a speaking role in Inn Err Face.
- Libby - Another frequent background character.

Dark-skinned Teen in the Orange Jacket[]
The Dark-skinned Teen in the Orange Jacket first appeared in Pox N Roll, where, amongst many others, participated in Corey's chicken pox party.
He is later seen in Monster of Rock, where he gets kidnapped by El Chewpoocaca by looking at a picture of a toilet. He also appears in Creepaway Camp as one of the campers at Camp Screamly, seen amongst the crowd in Queen Bee, Super Zeroes, It's in the Card and The Snuffles with Snarffles, at the science fair in Inn Err Face, in Kon-Fusion, where he visit the Fuse This restraunt, and in That's My Jam during its music sequence.

The Short Bespectacled Nerd first appeared in Math of Kon as a participant in the Trimathalon, who competed with Trina Riffin. He along with the other nerds "become cool" after hearing Grojband perform the Math Song.
His other noticeable appearances include Super Zeroes, where he attends Mick Mallory's 6th Birthday Party, as well as The Pirate Lounge for Me, where he is seen hanging out in the Groj-Lounge, and later forced to dig up treasure by Captain Tighty Whitey.
He is also seen in the backgrounds of Inn Err Face, The Snuffles with Snarffles, Dueling Buttons and Hear Us Rock Part 2.

Brunette Nerd in Purple[]
The Brunette Nerd in Purple first appeared in Math of Kon as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds. She along with the other nerds "become cool" after hearing Grojband perform the Math Song.
She also appears holding hands with another background character in All You Need is Cake, Super Zeroes, Ahead of Our Own Tone and Pop Goes the Bubble, seen amongst the audience attending the Lady Rage Music Festival in Girl Fest, as well as appearing in the Groj-Lounge in The Pirate Lounge for Me.
She also made minor appearances in Inn Err Face and The Snuffles with Snarffles.
Tall Blue Haired Nerd[]
The Tall Blue Haired Nerd first appeared in Math of Kon as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds. She along with the other nerds "become cool" after hearing Grojband perform the Math Song.
He also appears attending Barnina Barnley's Wedding in All You Need is Cake, in Queen Bee watching the Pollination Nation pageant, in Line of Credit where he has seen being attacked by Delinquent Babies, at the annual Science Fair in Inn Err Face and hanging out at the Groj-Lounge in a The Pirate Lounge for Me.
Tall Green Haired Nerd[]
The Tall Green Haired Nerd first appeared in Math of Kon ordering a fish oil smoothie at a smoothie bar and as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds. She along with the other nerds "become cool" after hearing Grojband perform the Math Song.
She is later seen attending Barnina Barnley's Wedding in All You Need is Cake, in Queen Bee watching the Pollination Nation pageant, in Line of Credit where she amongst several other girls taking Nick Mallory to Scooter Fest, attending the Lady Rage Music Festival in Girl Fest where she gets elbowed by Mina, and in Hear Us Rock Part 1 where she along with several other girls fight with Trina Riffin over nail polish.
Tall Nerd with the Green Beanie[]
The Tall Nerd with the Green Beanie first appeared in Math of Kon as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds. She along with the other nerds "become cool" after hearing Grojband perform the Math Song.
She also appears in Line of Credit, where she amongst several other girls taking Nick Mallory to Scooter Fest, attending the Lady Rage Music Festival in Girl Fest, and in The Pirate Lounge for Me where she hangs out with other cool teens at the Groj-Lounge.
Bespectacled Nerd in Sandals[]
The Bespectacled Nerd in Sandals first appeared in Smash Up Terby, where she's first seen swooning over Nick Mallory's scooter with several other girls. She's later seen buying Grojband merch from Kate and Allie and carrying Nick on his scooter at the end of the episode.
Her other notable appearances include Math of Kon, where she's seen as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds, appearing in Corey's pox party in Pox N Roll, attending Sludgefest in Space Jammin', in Zoohouse Rock attending a protest in the Peaceville Zoo, in Ahead of Our Own Tone, where her mind is under control by Sparklebrain, attending the Lady Rage Music Festival in Girl Fest, in the Rock Lore scene of The Pirate Lounge for Me, taking a picture with Jammy in That's My Jam, and The Snuffles with Snarffles within an angry mob.
She has made several minor appearances in numerous episodes, including Queen Bee, Myme Disease, Grin Reaper and Dueling Buttons.

The Bulky Nerd with the Blue Tie first appeared in Dance of the Dead, where he comes to Elementary High's Halloween Dance dressed as a skeleton. He was later seen in Monster of Rock, where he gets kidnapped by El Chewpoocaca along with many others denizens.
He is also seen in Math of Kon as a viewer of the Trimathalon along with many other nerds, as well as appearing in crowd scenes in several other episodes, including All You Need is Cake, Super Zeroes, Kon-Fusion, The Snuffles with Snarffles and Dueling Buttons.

The Pale Boy with the Thin Hairline first appeared in Pox N Roll, where he, amongst many others, participated in Corey's chicken pox party. Hesoon appears in No Strings Attached, where he is seen amongst several other kids watching the Bubble Bunch Band live concert.
He's later seen in Creepaway Camp as one of the campers visiting Camp Screamly, in Super Zeroes attending Mick Mallory's Birthday Party along with Libby and the Little Red Haired Girl. He's later saved by Front Man when he gets trapped in a ball pit. Furthermore, he is also seen attending the Elementary High curling competition in Rock the House.
Rotund Boy With the Striped Shirt[]
The Rotund Boy With the Striped Shirt first appeared in Pox N Roll, where he, amongst many others, participated in Corey's chicken pox party. He soon appears in No Strings Attached, where he is seen amongst several other kids watching the Bubble Bunch Band live concert.
